what a shocking news, this puts Nvidia in the corner now, at the end its great to see a strong AMD come back which will increase competition and we the customers get great products for lower prices

This is great for competition, and with the new drivers fixing the frame pacing it'll be an awesome card for gamers. However, I hope this doesn't damage AMD more, the 7990 is going EOL soon (only 2 months after release), so it looks like a big write off for them, maybe that was the plan in terms of a loss-leader, PR driven card, who knows?

Either way, good for anyone looking to buy one, pretty terrible if you just bought one!
