Any info as to the price? Looks like a real contender compared to the Surface Pro, especially in terms of storage!

This looks like what the surface pro should have been. If it competes on price and the battery life is good I would be very interested

    That kickstand looks useless.

Given that everyone knows MS has a surface Pro replacement (is it due Nov?) I can't see this selling that well.

8" and 10" versions of this would be good with full HD screens.
    Backlit keyboard?
The overall width of this looks to be similar to a 13" ultrabook. If the new iPad goes with a smaller bezel similar to its mini sibling its as likely that Windows/Android tablets will all follow suit which can only be a good thing.

Hmm yes, that stand does look a little bit like an after thought. Not sure I'm going to agree with you on Surface Pro mk2 - after all remember that the Vaio "brand" has quite a bit of recognition whereas a "Microsoft" computer is a bit of an unknown quantity.

One thing though - it's a Vaio - so the price will not be for the weak of stomach!

Yeah that kickstand looks a bit wobbly tbh!

I wouldn't exactly say this challenges the surface as much as it is complimenting it. Microsoft originally intended for companies to pick up on the design that they used in hopes that their operating system would grow.

Weight seems very high on this, hopefully that means really good battery and subsequent battery life.

Very nice looking device - be interesting to see the reviews for this.
