"You can have it in any colour as long as it's yellow"

My guess is that that's an attempt at branding the laptop, looks great otherwise.

£1300 for a TN panel, plastic chassis and the colour scheme of a Tonka toy? No thanks.

It looks nice! Better than plain old black.

    By the way it's a HD 4600 not a HD 4000

I've got the previous (or a previous) model which I picked up 2nd hand very recently, very happy with it feels solid to use, good performance etc.

Oh and of course the yellow is fantastic

    Re: Reviews - Gigabyte P25W

Hmmm the price seems quite steep in relation to competitors. I would be expecting the 4800MQ and 8GB of 1600MHz DDR3 in that, along with a 256GB mSATA or 2.5" drive at the £1300 mark. At least that's what I've specced up from several different places (admittedly mainly the Clevo-based systems) for around that price point.

Also, you'd need to factor in buying a copy of Windows 7 to the price, too.
At least 3 of the main games I play have severe problems with windows 8. It's a gaming laptop, and it's also not touch screen. I'd wager there are more people who DON'T want windows 8 than who DON'T want windows 7...

    Re: Reviews - Gigabyte P25W

Sweet piece of equipment. Even in yellow.

But how much of an effort was to put a thunderbolt chip in?

In particular thinking that it has only two USB 3.0 ports, and the esata is shared with usb 2.0...

Oh dear, never been so complicated to buy some time-lasting informatic.

    Re: Reviews - Gigabyte P25W

Very nice laptop, an I like gigabyte as a company, but when it comes to gaming nothing can beat a desktop pc. I would rather choose a cheaper and stronger desktop than a laptop. But this laptop is a good one. Wish you succsess gigabyte...
