Ooooh, very interested in the Venue 8 Pro, particularly if it comes with a type cover like the one the 11 is pictured with. Obviously I'd prefer an AMD based option, but these are getting very close to ideal, IMNSHO...
An 11" 1080p tablet with an active stylus for $500. Yes please!
Cant help but think the hardware will struggle with that resolution...
Which hardware, which resolution, and struggle to do what? All looks more than adequate to me...
Dell are really going in hard with these specs, if they get the pricing and build quality right then they could sell very well. I'm very interested in the 8/11" Venue Pro and the 2in1 :-)
Venue Pro 11
Full HD
Stylus
Full Windows
Tablet with what looks to be a nice keyboard and case / stand design
$500...looking at existing options available through both US and UK stores, the price conversion would be £390, so I'd expect this to come in at £399.99
For reference I looked at the base model XPS13 - $1200 in US, £980 in the UK. The direct dollar conversion is £742, so if you do the math that's a 26% mark-up presumably for tax and shipping costs.
So if you apply the same pricing conversion on $500, you end up with £390.
If they can do that, I'll take one.

The Venue Pro 8 and 11 both look awesome, especially with Dell accessories (cover, keyboard dock, pen *and* docking station).
But which to get?! I'm drawn to the 11" for the extra screen size but I imagine the 8" will be a fair bit cheaper *and* come with full MS Office due to being 8".
Need. Reviews. Soon.
I'd disagree with that. The resolution here is excellent - high enough to have no visible pixellation during 2D tasks and, crucially, high enough that you can simply divide the resolution by four for 3D gaming giving a very respectable 1600x900 resolution for games - with perfect scaling. It is, quite literally, win win. I'll be keeping a close eye on this
I read on Engadget that Dell will be launching the Venue 11 Pro with Baytrail Quad CPU / 2Gb / 32Gb RAM (base model) for £349.00 in the UK, and available for pre-order from November 7th online.
