It's direct competition is the Toshiba Encore, Lenono Miix 2, Dell Venue 8 Pro and Acer W4
All of which are 8" full windows 8.1 tablets supplied with Microsoft Office Home/Student edition.
Unless the pricing is very keen ~ £250 or less there isn't really a compelling case for it.
Edit: Dell Venue 8 Pro currently available for £199 32Gb / £219 64gb! So yeah, this is dead in the water.

So not direct competition, and at that point my interest died. Why have a limited version of Windows when you can have the full thing in the same form factor, almost certainly at around the same price? It needs to be well short of £250 to raise any interest at all, IMNSHO...Originally Posted by The Article

Dell with stylus and 64Gb for about £250
Are they, damn hadn't noticed!
Oh, I reckon it's still a good price, given that's *with* the active style (which is ~ £30 once you add the VAT). It's just more than I want to pay, given I'm only really looking for a replacement to the Playbook.
The 32GB version is £262.80 with VAT and delivery. So about average for an 8" Bay Trail tablet. Although as we've discussed in your tablet thread, the lack of an HDMI out makes it a lot less appealing than some of the other options (although it does support wireless external displays).
omg the Dell V8P and V11P are finally available in the UK!
The V11Pro comes in 2 processor configurations vs 4 or 5 in the US ::sad face::
Baytrail
Core i3 4020Y
Where's the 3560Y Pentium version?!
The i3 has no RAM or SSD size options sadly.
Also no option for the dual band 802.11ac wifi. I know the 802.11n is dual band but ac would have been nice as an option.
Still don't know if the i3 is fanless or not (assume not).
Still don't know the battery life of the i3 vs Baytrail (this is *really* important info).
As it is, I'd lean towards the Baytrail but does anybody have an inkling if Dell will make more options available for the 11 Pro? (Pentium, ac wifi etc.)
Or any of the other info e.g. battery life, fan(less) on the i3?
Heck, I can't even see the options to add the stylus or keyboard docks on the checkout pages.... WTH?
Also a shame that the Venue 11 Pro only has trial Office vs full on the 8 Pro.
I thought that might be the case but had held out some hope...
Just spoke to Dell. If anyone else is interested:
No idea if or when the Pentium model will be available in the UK
No idea if or when ac module will be available
No idea if or when larger storage options will be available
Keyboard docks should be available within a month
Core i3 processors do have a fan
Battery life on the i3 estimated at only about 3 hours(!)
Looks like the Baytrail is the best option for me now... but will wait till the keyboard docks are out at least
