What Is the Age Reqauired?
Wait, hang on a minute, doesn't this essentially mean "We're giving away FREE access to ProPlus to anyone who's already paid for ProPlus!"However it’s not just a free-for-all, there are some conditions which must be met before a student can get their free access to Office 365 ProPlus. The main condition is that Office 365 ProPlus or Office Professional Plus is licensed institution-wide for all the faculty/staff at the educational establishment

Wasn't it the Jesuits who said "Give us a child by the age of 5 and he's ours for life"?

whats the difference with this and the office365 university offer? I bought the uni version in sept, you get the full suite for 2 machines and unlimited mobile devices for 4 years, I think it was £60...

forget I said anything I just read the MS article, this ones free...
not quite, as I understand it the students get it for free if the school buys it for the staff in the school. So the only people buying it are the staff (or school for the staff) and the children get it for free.
You don't always need MS office at school/university, you just need an office package and there's plenty of cheaper/free options out there... this is Microsoft keeping one of their cash cows alive and getting the next generation into 'their' cloud philosophy instead of say google/apple's while they're young.
