Wilson also stated that EA will follow gamers to whichever platform they choose to play on, other major gaming publishers would surely do the same.
So does that mean that if SteamOS/Box takes off that we'll see EA titles popping up in Steam? Don't think that's likely. Speaking of Steam - fired up Rocksmith 2014 yesterday, only to be presented with the uPlay login as well - wtf!

As to BF4 - I thought it was pretty good on the PC. Only downside being that I've had a couple of blue screens that all came back as driver issues. But then again MoH:WF did the same last time I tried it, (before I did my most recent major update), so I'm assuming that this is an EA thing.

Haven't done any multiplayer yet - cos the missus starts getting REALLY grumpy if I'm in front of the PC for long periods.

"Orders have been given to game developer DICE to halt all work on all other projects including Star Wards: Battlefront, the Mirror’s Edge reboot and the Battlefield 4 DLC expansions, to concentrate on resolving the recent outbreak of issues within the game."

you can bet that Dice were not ready to release the game but EA insisted

EA shares should have plummeted for a lot different reasons than just a few engine bugs in one of their games.

Serious question - are they (EA) any worse than the other major publishers - Activision, Ubi, etc? Yes, EA seems to produce a lot more US-oriented crap than the others, but that's not a reason to condemn them in itself.

I might be a bit more charitable if they actually allowed you to buy games on Origin (not a pleasing experience) as gifts. According to EA support you have to use a 3rd party site to be able to do that. Still, at least EA support were efficient when I needed to get a refund for something I had tried to get as a gift.

Re: News - EA shares fall as bug problems persist in Battlefield 4

EA are still too big IMO. So many others have shrunk their operations and are concentrating on one core product at a time with their best developers (getting rid of the rest).

The entire inductry needs to adopt that way of working to survive going forward IMO. prices have reached a point where people are not going to pay for rubbish or pay twice for something good so that its profits can offset the loss on their less successful ventures.

Include Roberts Space Industry, aka, the Star Citizen dev in that too. Nobody condemns them, yet if EA did what they did the internet would rise up and kill all their employees. After seeing that I actually started to soften to EA now, since it only needs a name change for dodgy practices to be OK for gamers. They are bunch of hypocrits.

You under estimate the number of people who want to pay to win, or pay for stuff which they should not be paying for in a full priced game.

PC version of BF4 also has random crashes still, even after the latest patch. It's a bit naff really, but it's good that they focus on the issues.
