How does Ripley's daughter get involved with aliens when no-one else has encountered them (even on LV426) until after Ripley arrives back on earth 57 years late, and after the death of her daughter?
I wonder if they will have coop.
The last alien vs marines left like it missed something but been so much more.
Yuk. You see your own hands. Always a bad sign IMO.
I dunno, if they keep the focus on the Amnesia-esque survival horror then it could work. I'm very cautious after the Colonial Marines fiasco but hopeful that they do a good job with this.
After the latest flop called "Aliens: Colonial Marines" I will avoid all and any games to do with the Aliens Franchise.
Don't want to be more upset about the franchise I loved be ruined even further..
however with that said, maybe this might not be a flop and I will keep a distant eye on it.....
I saw this trailer the other day..it *looks*good, but after the previous two awful attempts at alien games (AvP 2010 and Aliens Colonial Marines), I don't have a lot of hope.
Fingers crossed the new one returns the franchise to the success of the 1999/2001 games
Weyland-Yutani knows about the Xeno, as it sent the Nostromo crew to retrieve it in the first film. I believe Ash also sent a full report on it before he got smashed.
Thus, the Company can send Amanda out on some pretense of searching for her mother and thus the story is born.
It's not exactly a popular plot idea among the fandom and it's a very cheesy, tenuous way of getting the Ripley name into an Alien game without infringing on existing stories.
Survival-Horror is not my favourite game genre either, so I'll likely play it... but given how SEGA love overmilking a franchise they only own for profits and care nothing for the details of, I'm not expecting very much at all!
Pre-orders are open and they show off the alien too much, good look with the survival horror approach guys > >
This game sounds good in theory, but can they make it last any kind of decent length? I mean, it'll start to get just a little boring running away from one enemy for hours, so they're going to have to put in alot of details to keep the player occupied as well.
Looks interesting. I hope it's creepy as hell.
It sounds like SlenderAlien...!
no, it sounds like a fail waiting to happen. I hope it won't be, but I bet it will. And I'd expect more from the graphics than we're seeing in that clip. As an Alien purist wtf? Most people agree that the franchise needs to be rewritten following the end of Aliens, not before it!
Published by SEGA, developed by Creative Assembly, and running on the assortment of platforms planned...I don't see how there won't be issues. Aside from any glaring bugs, I suspect massive performance issues.
It's being made by Creative Assembly in Horsham, West Sussex. I drive past their office daily so will drop in some doughnuts and red bull now and again to keep the pace up! I will tape a picture of my fiancee to the box and if i am lucky they will use my partners resemblemce for an Alien enemy.
Then I can shoot her >_>.
