Apart from the price difference, of course.
You can't run Chrome on Windows RT, so you need the full fat, more expensive Surface.

*slow clap* well done google, now the busy spinning circles gone when a page loads so you have no idea what the hell is going off if you are in full screen mode. the busy/loading icons only on the tab now.

also some sites scrolling is broken when you open a dropdown.

Scrolling is broken in a big way - had to disable horizontal scrolling on my mouse as otherwise the right third of any Chrome window was behaving as if I had CTRL held down.

install chrome beta fluff, its fixed a fair few of the issues.
