    ooh look Ma, it's a TC1100

Seriously - keyboard dock, desk dock with DVD drive ... getting a strong sense of deja vu

Key will be in the price, of course, but it looks reasonable - only obvious notable lack is a digitizer for decent pen-based input...

Why the full size Ethernet port. Not that I'm complaining but I surely when being used as a tablet you're not going to be plugging it in for a wired connection, surely that defeats the purpose of the form factor? Wouldn't it make more sense to have all the ports on the dock, else what's the dock for?

I seriously worry sometimes, why hasn't any manufacturer developed the product everyone's crying out for? Do we need to draw it for them or something?

    Tablet with HDMI / 1x USB3 / SD slot / Docking connections
    Dock with Display Port / HDMI / Ethernet / DVI-D / 4x USB3 / Slimline DVD / BR drive
Wireless keyboard that works with miniture USB dongle / Bluetooth
Case / keyboard combo with battery booster for full laptop experience

Ethernet port = Tech toy. The amount of times I've wished my slate had an ethernet port when im on a clients site...

At that thickness (nigh on 15mm) this should have at least a low voltage i cpu. Bezel could be a lot narrower. Cannot see the need for a VGA port and is anyone seriously going to connect an ethernet cable and have it trailing around?
Two full size usb ports, SD card reader (write as well would be nice), and full size HDMI are all plus points.
Connected to the dock it looks similar to one of those old CRT 14" televisions with a built in VCR or DVD drive.
Never the less it has promise, maybe SM10-2 will improve on this.

1366x768 actually, so pretty decent for a cheap Windows tablet/netbook, which is essentially what this is.

Close - it's about 2004. I know I had my tongue firmly in my cheek when I mentioned the TC1100 earlier, but actually the more I look at this the more I see the resemblance.

It looks to me like a decent attempt to make a consumer device that is also sufficiently functional to appeal to industry - wired ethernet, VGA port, optical trackpad and mouse buttons? They're quite definitely business/industrial features. The more I look at this the more I like it (shame it's 10" not 8" though).

The 'notebook' conversion option for this looks terrible:

The Asus T100 looks a lot better as a 2-in-1.

For something with a dock, the Dell Venue Pro 11 looks a lot sleeker.

You've got to really want/need those extra ports for this to work imho.

Hmmmm, yeah, gotta agree with that - it's a keyboard/folio case, not a keyboard dock of any kind. Sadness. Still reckon there's use cases for all those ports mind, and that a lot of business users would go for this purely on the wired ethernet + VGA port option (there's a lot of people out there using VGA projectors still ).
