Interesting idea. Big hurdle I can see though is that opticians are generally a bit sniffy about diabetics wearing contacts for extended periods of time.
Give it 10 years, Cyclops from X Men
Type 1 for 20 years, always worn glasses but have been considering contacts recently as I'm due some new specs. Didn't know wearing them could be a bit iffy.
I really need something to improve my (largely non-existent) monitoring, so these would have been perfect.
I have been a type 1 for over 40 years and have worn gas permeable contacts for 30 years, sometimes for over 24 hours at a time. So, I don't know who you have for an optician but I think they need to update their information.... This type of product would be fantastic if it were wirelessly linked to my insulin pump to properly manage my control.
