I was looking forward to the release of the G-Flex but looks like someone decided to make a move fast ahead of this one.
Yeah Samsung did this too also chop of any launch HTC might want to make.
Although the rushed launch may also pee alot of S4 owners off. Not even a year since that was launched.
2K screens, 20 mega pixal cameras and 4K video recording are going to be the buzz for 2014...
I wonder if HTC will wait for the new snapdragon CPU before launching a new device in 2014.
Not that bothered for a curved phone - thinking that there are drawbacks (like problems using desk/car docks for a start). Also less than impressed with the current crop of rumours re the S5 - as far as I can see this is just S3++, i.e. an incremental upgrade of the S4, that itself was an incremental upgrade of the S3.
At the moment I'm more interested to see what Motorola or Nokia come up with.
I'm curious how the curved screen really helps/if it makes a difference - its just such a shame that LG have stuck with the crazy buttons on the back thing, and have put such a poor quality screen into this first device. It's pretty much a crippled G2 with a curved screen.
Another few years and It may take off and become commonplace (iPhone 6 maybe? We know that's got to have a radical redesign if its to survive).
I just bought a Samsung Note 3. This looks like a slightly worse version but with a curve (and for a LOT more than I spent on my SGN3!).
Moving to Giffgaff was by far the best switch I've made for any service provider in the last 10 years (not just phones), too.
Actually that squares with something that I was thinking the other day - other than incremental pushes there's maybe not that much that the manufacturers can do. So we're probably in for a series of "this year's model" updates for the forseeable. And no, this isn't me slagging off Apple, I think Samsung's firmly in that camp too.
