There is an update due this week and I for one can't wait.
The game is a hoot even with the limited numbers of cars and tracks available at the moment.

I supported the Kickstarter and was very disappointed when it failed as it was a project I thought would walk to the target.
I immediately pre-ordered on the website and have been pleased with the coverage it's had since the release of the tech demo. I'm avoiding playing it as it is, as I want the final release to be fresh.
I hope the tracks get more crazy again and less like Dirt, The first demo had a track that reminded me of stunt car racer was good fun.
I enjoyed Flatout 1 and 2. Which you can see a lot of in this game already. It makes me wonder why they don't just call it 4 or Flatout XYZ. I know 3 left them scarred but they can move on like Stainless Games and their Carmageddon series.
One thing that was great about 1 and 2 was the music from up and coming bands, I subsequently bought some albums back in the glory days of CDWOW[.]com when they had their unsigned artists section.
Based on looks alone thats pretty impressive for an unfinished game. Or are they saying the engine is done and they need the funding for level design, licencing etc?
I understand how much this helps indie and smaller project teams, but I really hate the idea of companies charging you full retail price to even participate in the testing phases of the game. I have seen many times promises made in beta never come true in the actual gold product and since refunding a game is next to near impossible I can see a lot of scams coming from this sorta thinking.
