Should include a DX9 and OpenGL benchmarks for these high end cards.
Nice to see they've got the temps down but in my opinion, this and the 780ti both use way too much power. If I were to upgrade, I'd still 'only' get the 780(non-ti).
Where is the review for Sapphire R9 290X ?(so far I've seen the 290's review) That card is almost on par with 780 ti(reference).
edit: delete me
OpenGL, I can kinda get, but why DX9? Most new games won't even run in DX9 nowadays, and the ones that do run laughably easily on anything recent. The only reason anyone would want to play in DX9 is that they've not moved on from Windows XP, an operating system that's nearly old enough to drink.
Better then Asus DCUII?
Unfortunately there is NO Quiet vs. Performance bios option in the retail cards. Both the bios are the same (quite loud under load). Every review of the card I have read has advised there was a quiet bios and is is possible to trade fan noise for a few degrees C higher. I am assuming PowerColor dropped the quiet bios option maybe a stability issue?. It sort of makes the reviews pointless in respect of noise and they all need updating to reflect reality.
Anyway with no prospect of a quieter fan profile unfortunately the card is a no go as it is too loud under load for my living room!
