If that had soft white backlighting I would be sold. What i really like is the large rubber rest in place of flip out feet; those are the worst part of any keyboard.
Life is like a hair on a toilet seat. Sooner or later you're bound to get pissed off!
Have you seen the SteelSeries Apex keyboards (especially the [Raw])? White lighting, good feel and rubber plugs for feet instead of fold-out legs. There's some bargains on that online recently. Worth a look if you're in the market for a new keyboard.
That Das unit is nice but the $=£ isn't so appealing.
The Apex does not have mechanical keyswitches, which is why it is so much cheaper.
I picked up a G710+ recently because I find media keys & programmable macro keys (dedicated calculator launch!) too convenient to give up for a switch to mechanical keys, and prefer a white backlight. The DAS looks like it would have won out, if it were available earlier and had a UK ISO layout (DAS make US ANSI only).
::EDIT:: Whoops, the DAS isn't backlit. Meh to that, then.
Still no ergonomic version.
They need to make a TKL version with backlit
the wheel is what microsoft should implement into their keyboards! The volume buttons on my wirelss 5000 are quite stiff
