Has anyone actually seen this turn up on retail Windows yet? Or is this all pre-writing from people with Technet access?
Its not showing up on my mothers machine which was an upgrade from vista.
No, I just checked, my 8.1 isn't showing any available updates.

Patch Tuesday patches usually drop at 6pm UK time
I've installed 5 updates today but no update 1
It's not on WU, but it's on MS Download Centre now, for manual installation
Showing as available on Windows Update now, after you have run the other patches that are there.

If Update 1 is KB2919355, then I've got it. Not sure what it brings but hey...
Edit - If I right-click on Metro tiles, I get a context menu instead of the things at the bottom of the screen. Is there anything else?

Metro apps get listed in the main Windows taskbar, not just in their own taskbar. And you can pin Metro apps there for quick launch. And Metro apps have close/minimize buttons. That's the main ones.Originally Posted by Smudger

Yes, on Tuesday there were some patches, after those were installed the 8.1 update then appears, however it doesn't show as that, its about 850MB in size. Or at least mine was
