So really there is very little to choose between the boards!
Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!
125 on scan.
One Asus ranger will definitely be coming way

It would be good to see a different set of benchmarks for motherboards, one that tests the stuff that is different - which one handles OC better, which one does onboard sound better, which has the better performing none-Intel SATA, as the rest is just testing intel features
Looks very similar to the TUF colour scheme. Well, it's light years better than the gold and black scheme of Z87.

Nice to see Hexus getting a good range of reviews out straight away, top work guys
Personally I'm waiting for the mini-ITX Z97 boards to surface - ITX doesn't seem to have been getting much love from any of the big players yet, which is a little disappointing. Anyone seen any indication that there may be some coming?

I would really like to hear an expert's opinion of the Real Time Clock bug.
I bought an Asus Z87A board when the first came out. I'm now on replacement board three. All of them have the bug.
The bug causes the clock to show the time it was at the last time the computer was turned off and fails to restart.
It can be reset by clearing the CMOS. It might work properly for an hour, a day, three months or whatever but the problem always comes back eventually. It's not trivial. Some programmes shut down if the clock's wrong.
There has been a deafening silence from Asus but some people have speculated that the problem lies with the Z87 chipset.
Maybe that's the main reason for the developement of the Z97.
there isn't any difference between z97 and z87 for cores and memory. the highest difference was in multimedia, 7%.
it would have been better if they did the gaming benchmarks with a discreet graphics card
Bios EZ Flash is one attraction for me over the other brands, look forward to the upcoming cpu's being released..
