Now THAT'S very interesting. I wonder what the response time of the monitor is?
Not bad for LAN parties, but I bet the price will be higher than expected.
I could imagine the thing gets hot as well, but if MSI pulls this off, they may just be successful in the already competitive market (macs and touchscreen W8 PC's).
Just one fan to cool the GPU and CPU seems interesting as the TDP for a GTX 880M and i7-4860HQ is about 150w from what I've read.
Main - Intel Core i5 2300 @ 3.5GHz, 8GB DDR3 1333Mhz RAM, Asus P8P67 Pro, Coolermaster iGreen 600w, GTX 480, Antec One Case
Looks like they just grabbed a mobo from one of their notebooks and bolted it to a display panel - not that that's a bad thing, MSI notebooks are good!
I like, will definitely consider dependent on price of course.
Wish they'd use Intel NIC's though...
Is the stand adjustable or only one fixed angle? I'd want it more vertical at times for movie viewing.
I find 8GB of RAM on a laptop graphics card somewhat ... unnecessary. Particularly when paired with a 1080p panel. Exactly what do NVidia and MSI think it's going to do with all that extra memory? Even 4GB would be complete overkill. AFAIK 2GB should be sufficient for 1080p (given the underlying GPU is essentially a GTX680 which managed fine with 2Gb at 1080p)...
27incher + less hardware eating up space this MSI AiO is good very good
I hear that, for some reason I have 4GB on each of my notebook GPUs, even driving a 1080p screen and a 2560x1440 one, games on the larger, I rarely break 2GB of vram usage... Worst case I saw was crysis 2 with high res textures where I hit 2.9GB (Wheee) on highest settings
