Interesting. Fantastic to see a small ssd versus a large slow hard drive. It's my preference and a usb hard drive is very easy to pick up. Props. Shame about the low res screen.

Hmm, looked at that spec and thought that this'd make an ideal platform for an Ubuntu laptop.
Do the TravelMates (which I know Acer got in from TI) have the same shoddy build as the other Acer portables?
offers UPTO 8GB of ram... seems to start with 4GB, why can't the 8inch tablet makers manage this, it's basically using a quad core version of the atom chip they're using, yet all the 8 inch windows slates seem to have 2GB which is useless.
As crossy said, this would be a perfect Linux Laptop.
It has a low TDP but I wonder how warm it does get when under hard use (multi tasking, running programs etc.).
I like the look of this as a highly portable laptop. It looks very plain and functional, which i like.
oh wow, it's funny my sister was just recently asking for a new Laptop, think this is right up her street.

Interesting, if they do a 13" version with reduced bezel and up the resolution I'd pick one up. Mind you, I'd have to pop over to the US to buy it form a MSFT store so I get NO Acer or other BS software.
