I thought DDR4 was point to point memory so there are no channels...
The ECO boards look interesting, could be very useful for HTPC setups that want minimal power usage and might not need some of the functions included with the board. I would of thought turning the chips off automatically when not in use would be better though, saves the user having to fiddle with software.
