Surprised they haven't dropped the tarnished OCZ name and kept them with Toshiba branding.

Confused, how did you come to the conclusion it is a reliable drive? I dont think you can come to that conclusion in such a short space of time.

Not sure about this to be honest it seems rather average .

Maybe because the biggest reliability factor (will OCZ go bankrupt?) has been taken away. I mean, no matter how badly OCZ perform from now on, it must be very unlikely that they could bankrupt Toshiba
    .
Still, I would not buy one unless there was some kind of indemnity bound...

Reliable in the sense that it has reliable performance once in a dirty state. Perhaps I should make this clearer.

For the price, it does better than average in the Iometer and expanded storage tests, beating out the MX100 by a very healthy degree.

Makes more sense then Tarinder, to me your summary points all lead to it being a 'reliable' drive in performance so the extra statement for being reliable read as though it meant reliable in terms of durability.

It does beat the MX100 but then again I dont think it beats it enough as the MX100 does enough for a solid all rounder yet the 256GB version only costs £70 which is almost £50 cheaper than the Vertex 460, I dont think I could warrant that but then thats just me, I like crucial as I know their drives are reliable but OCZ have always been iffy (even excluding the sandforce issues) that it would take a lot for me to try them again.

Where have you seen the MX100 256 for £70? I know it's been thereabouts but have you seen it that low?
