Interesting, I wouldn't exactly call any Intel integrated graphics "immersive gaming" more like "barely x360 immersion"
But its good to see Intel making improvements on their graphics, it can only be a good thing because more competition always means better value for the customers
My 2nd Gen i5 laptop with HD3000 graphics can run WoW with relative comfort. I've actually been surprised with what the newer integrated graphics can push out. No, they're never going to run Metro: Last Light at 60fps, but that's not what or who they're aimed at. Frankly, if I can have a NUC in my front room with Steam Home Streaming from my main PC, (which can run Last Light at 60+ fps), then it's a decent box to have.
Diablo (Main PC): Corsair Air 540; Gigabyte Z77-D3H; i5 3570k @ 4.4Ghz; 16Gb Corsair Vengeance PC3-12000; 120Gb Samsung 840 EVO; EVGA 980 Ti Hybrid; 2x Dell U2414H; Windows 10 x64.
Imperius (VM Server): 2x Intel 5640, 64Gb RAM, 2x1Tb, 6x Intel NIC, VMware ESX 5.5
Tyrael (File Server): Synology DS410 w/ 4x HD154UI; 2Gb RAM; DSM 5.2
Whats the point of internal usb headers?
Four usb ports are not enough.
Why are the display outputs only mini ones as well? Are there cables in the box?
What I want to see is broadwells iris pro 5200 crystalwell successor. Basically the i7-4770r successor guessing the i7-5770r. Would love to see that chip in a gigabyte brix like setup we currently have. At 14nm intel will be able to add a lot more gpu cores and even easily double the amount of integrated edram. 256MB of integrated memory * more faster gpu cores can make intel iris pro 5200's successor a real powerhouse. I actually read that intel may even go to 512MB of integrated edram for iris pro 6200 or whatever they decide to call it.
