I guess this prevents people like me who made use of the ultimate steal deal and carry on sing the license long after graduating
You got me all excited... then I got the the usual 'only US citizens are worthy' bull****. I don't know why this was posited on a British site.
They said it was being implemented worldwide later in the year, so hopefully that won't be too far away.
Office 2013? No thanks!
Sounds like a good move.
Of course, it doesn't affect me because, first, I'm not a student, and second, I'm not in the least interested in Office on a subscription basis, even if free. I have several (legit) versions of Office in the form of boxed, standalone suites, and I see no convincing reason for me to upgrade. And frankly, given what I think of MS these days, if I do migrate any existing machines, it's more likely to be to Libre than Office, 365 or not. It does everything I need, does it pretty well, and does it free.
