I lose track of these now. Which one comes after the one that's in the USA?
Ubisoft do the Assassin's Creed stories based on what they had in their video library.
1. Arabian Nights
2. The Borgias (was going to say daVinci's Demons - but that came out after AC2)
3. The Borgias (again)
4. Bond double header: The World Is Not Enough/From Russia With Love
5. The Patriot (Mel Gibson)
6. Pirates of the Caribbean
7. Les Miserables
8. The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (or Mulan if you prefer)?
I used to be a big fan of AC, but #5 (the US one) really soured me on the franchise. So much so that I've not even played AC6 that I got for Christmas last year yet. AC2 (the one in Florence) was the high point of the series for me, with AC3 a close second.
Then again, I've not even put in my annual CoD pre-order - thinking that I'm going to give that (turkey?) a miss until it's in someone's sale.

Same for me re burnout with the one called AC3 that you call AC5, but there's a lot of fun to be had with pirates, honest! I'm giving the two new ones a miss though. When they do a proper oriental AC (moving in the right direction at least from the looks of it) then I'll take another look.
Nah, I meant Black Flag. Sorry I wasn't clear there. Apparently AC3 (USA) had ships, but I lost interest before getting that far. Black Flag was a lot of fun though.
I think part of what I didn't like about AC3 was the bland, grey setting. Previous games had been in exotic (and historically-interesting) settings. Like you say, they had better characters too. AC3 almost felt like somebody had desaturated the textures. Black Flag is a thing of beauty though - very attractive indeed.
I don't recall any bugs in AC3 (or any other AC for that matter) but possibly these are bugs that appeared later in the game.

Unless Ubi decides to stick with one character for a number of games and of course make sure that the character is interesting, AND have no naval ship wars, the series will continue to decline
