Re: News - Valve's Steam Music Player is out of beta

It will be a useful addition to those who eventually purchase a Steam machine, personally my gaming rig does not server as my music player so it's not of any real use to me. I have steam on my media PC but that runs WinAmp and I have no desire to switch from using that.

How do you mean? If it doesn't show up in your DLC list for the game, it should be added to your account upon clicking "Download" from the Soundtrack page (same with the others from their Soundtrack pages).

Re: News - Valve's Steam Music Player is out of beta

I recently started using Google's Play Music service to get music on my phone when needed. I still use a separate MP3 player for my car but I don't take it out unless I need to charge it.

This is interesting, I wonder if it is integrated into the mobile app as well...

Re: News - Valve's Steam Music Player is out of beta

It's MP3 only at the moment. All my music is in ALAC format. It's too early to say 'fail' as I'm sure other formats will be added soon enough.
An Atlantean Triumvirate, Ghosts of the Past, The Centre Cannot Hold
The Pillars of Britain, Foundations of the Reich, Cracks in the Pillars.

My books are available here for Amazon Kindle. Feedback always welcome!

If I go to 'library' then 'music' it is not listed with the others, I'll try your suggestion though and see if it works. I probably won't use the music much anyway, I just really love the ending songs from portal 1 & 2.

Don't need to own the game or have access to Steam for that matter. It's free to download here.
My only concern is should I hide my true identity? A costume maybe?

0iD: Plus weeing in it every now & again does it good
scaryjim: 10" is just a little large to hold comfortably in one hand, which makes it a lot harder to tap, swipe and generally interact with.

Re: News - Valve's Steam Music Player is out of beta

I had a go with this. The experience was really crap compared to using winamp, which I normally use. I can't really see much reason to bother with this in its current state. I suppose it might be cool if it lets you control the music in game with the Steam overlay. Then again, I don't listen to music when I play games. I listen to the game Has anyone got any good reasons to use this over their normal music player? I feel like I might be missing something here..

Odd there's no music from TF2, CS GO and other valve games.
