I grabbed Titanfall for £3.26 so not great prices really. Just use Hola to access the US version of Origin, then change back to UK before checking out

    Cheeky, I like that!

No real reason why they should charge us more to own a Digital copy of a game than anyone else in the world!

Same here. Titanfall of £3.26 was a steal. The rest of their deals at the moment are rubbish.

Re: The Origin Black Friday PC games sales event has started

The original 'Black Friday is an American retailing event held on the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and is so called as it's the day that pushes hard pressed retailers into the black for November.

It's presence over here is marketing and nothing more - in fact, in the UK retailers typically discount only a sixth of their stock and rely on shopper emotions to push them to buy far more than they ordinarily would, beyond their discounted purchases. That works for shoppers in stores but I'm not so sure about on-line.

Clearly, a lot of IT retailers feel they must participate, but I've not seen anything of astounding value - and anyway, right now I don't need what I have not got!

Re: The Origin Black Friday PC games sales event has started

Iv'e been checking origin every day since I read this article and my free game is still bejeweled rather than crusader, what's that all about ?

Nobull - love the little tip, I have been having problems in origin with text only being displayed in french (because I live in France part time) now at the least I may be able to understand the store interface !
