I have no idea, personally I'd like my door to lock straight away so I can check it's locked not wait until I'm 100 yards away and have no idea whether it worked or not...

Well, the answer to the question must be 'all three' since you'll need to replace everything listed if anyone nicks your phone and figures out your address

The same thing that's wrong with carrying around a seperate camera, CD player, pack of disks for the CD player, PDA, diary, phone etc. etc. They're unnecessary bits of metal. I'm all for keys getting swallowed up by convergence

If, that is, it can be made to work well. I'm a bit dubious about a security product that doesn't give you the details on how it works.

Nice prize, but requiring a smartphone makes it a non-starter, free or otherwise. Luck to all those who entered, though

You've got a big house if your hallway is a hundred yards long.

The question is "what types of interference is this electronic lock affected by, when compared to a standard key based lock?"

Looks cool to me, but my wife thinks like most posters here, so I'm sure that even if I win it I won't be allowed to install it. Sadly I'm out.

You'd still need to take your physical key (I hope there is still one for backup) in case your battery died while you were out...
