1920x1080 at 27"... that's going to look like a pixellated mess for a sky high price, does anyone who games at 1920x1080 buy a £500 monitor? I doubt it.

Should've been 24" with a lower price tag. But then again, should've been IPS at the same size, same module, lower price and come with a complementary calibrator

I am getting older and my eyes simply cannot handle tiny print on really high resolution screens. I was just looking for a 27inch IPS 1080p monitor and the prices aren't too bad. This monitor might not be that attractive but the complaints about its resolution - I just don't understand. People must have super magnifying vision these days. Apple is the only company that does high resolution and text properly, and even then - i simply can't read the text for too long. Graphics and video look great though. But the program windows and their options - forget about it. Oh and do not put a spreadsheet up on the screen! It's like torcher LOL!!!!! 2K, 4K, 5K for graphics and video but forget about the text, have mercy! And forget about Windows and high resolution screens. Absolutely not!

Indeed the current Windows scaling leaves a lot to be desired. Have you given a try to ClearType tuning, pvrvideoman? It can help make font readability quite better (to an extent, of course), and using dpi scaling can make reading an easier task as well.

I'll look in to ClearType. DPI scaling is okay, but it doesn't work on all program windows I believe. The last time I used it, it worked on Windows components only. But other areas still had small text.

It doesn't work on all Windows software, only on dpi-aware software but that's slowly improving as more devs realize of the multiple display configurations people can have.

When will those manufacturers think before bringing out new screens? FHD with G-Sync? No game has stuttering problems at that resolution anymore.
Even smartphones work with that resolution (well, many of them).

A 21:9 34" screen with G-Sync, or some 4k screens, now those get use of G-Sync.

And price tag is abnormally high.

I love how 1080p is now considered a low resolution!! I run my 42" tv at 1080p for films and it looks great. I think I must be getting too old to notice these things

1080p isnt considered low, I would say its perfectly acceptable for a £70-£130 monitor. The issue here is that its a TN panel and £500. G-Sync and 144Hz are definitely not enough to make up for the increase in price.

Maybe they're making up for their relatively low prices 4K 'monitor' they've just released/announced.

This is rather expensive though.

@Every company ever; please can we have a good 24" 1080P AHVA+ monitor with G-Sync?! Capable of 120 Hz (I think so anyway, was in Hexus news a while back) and good colours. Couldn't go back to TN now.
