Actually I was going to say that - apart from the squared-off tabs - it looks identical to the version of Chrome I've got in front of me at the moment, even to the placement of the buttons.
Over the weekend there were reports that Windows 10 will be a free upgrade for Windows 8.X owners, but Windows 7 owners must pay to upgrade yet will be offered little, if any, monetary incentive.
Actually I'm not that bothered by this. Maybe it's just me but I find the hassle of having to find the media/serial number for the previous version when doing reinstalls a bit of a pain. Besides, isn't the conventional wisdom that you don't do upgrade installs for major versions of Windows, and especially if you're jumping more than one version?

If I go W10 then I'm certainly planning on the nausea of backing off my data and app install kits, before doing a fresh W10 install on my W7 box. I suppose the only advantage is that having to reinstall apps means you get a tidying up exercise for nothing. So as long as the price of the new W10 kit is reasonable then I'm fine.

Career status: still enjoying my new career in DevOps, but it's keeping me busy...

Please, Microsoft, don't do the whole monochrome "vector" icons thing again.

Remember how that went down in Visual Studio 2012?

That's some guys opinion - not some inside info from Microsoft. They certainly won't be giving it away if anyone wanted mine and I'd be chuffing annoyed if they did!

Agreed. Many people like myself paid for Windows 8/8.1, Windows 7 users and below shouldn't get a free ride!

Well if true they are giving free upgrades to Win 8 users...that would suggest win 8 was a compromise\make do in the meantime, a sort of Vista
2nd computer gigabyte P965ds3p, 7770 E2140@2.9ghz, corsair HX520 6 years stable, replaced now with E8400@3.9ghz and will overclock more when I'm bored.
