as I have said before, these figures are worthless.
There are countless PC systems build from users and specialized shops, that are always missing from these figures.
I don't know a single person who owns a branded PC, they all have either build one with the help of some friend who is a more power user, or they bought what the random local pc shop build for them.
The PC market is saturated. It used to be a growing industry back when there were a lot of people who did not have a PC but would be easily convinced to buy one, but that is no longer the case. I do not believe the PC is dying, but, clearly, the PC market cannot support the companies it used to.
The phone and tablet markets will get to the same point, eventually. Then they'll tell us that phones and tablets are dead, and we will read those editorials on our phones or tablets.
