Yeah!! But it should be more intresting...as it makes us a very long wait to play
Rockstar should send some more video trailer to maintain the suspense....n excitement
N i have everything to rollon
Every spec
Thanks Rockstar
I always thought a few weeks meant 3 weeks 5 tops. Now A quick look at a calendar puts this as a change of 8-9 weeks...
Yawn! Knew this was going to happen as it does with most AAA titles these days.
For Rockstars sake I hope they do what they have to dos and give us PC users a proper port. Chances are that this game will still be filled with bugs.
Actually don't agree - we've seen what happens when Marketing force the devs to ship something that's not had full QA (yes Ubisoft, I am talking about you!), so Rockstar being "responsible" about it is a bit of change.
Personally, I'm pretty chilled with the "reason" for the delay, (don't like the use of the word "excuse"). That said, if there are still AC:U level bugs in GTAV come March then Rockstar are going to (rightly) get hauled over the coals.
Only downside - for me at least - is those "recommended" specs. I'm suspicious enough that when a dev says "Minimum" they mean "yes, it'll run, but it'll be horrible" and "Recommended" means "Practical Minimum". Hope six-way AMD is going to be good enough.
65GB !
I did not expect that, I thought size will be around 30-40GB and every other spec is fine. Well by the time the game comes need to clear out some space (mostly from steam) which I still don't want to delete.
Oh and hey does it still have Mantle support because if its there then my cpu will be fine.
Fair play. Good to know they're ironing out the bugs and polishing the game BEFORE putting it out into the wild. Hopefully certain other companies can learn from this
Haven't bought GTA since the first 2, but will probably give this one a go
Delaying it to give us more time so we can run the game!

Add me
interesting thought, my 4 year old PC meets the recommended specs.
65Gb of HDD space is insane in an era where many games are digital downloads, even compressed you can expect to spend a couple of days downloading this on a typical 2Mb connection....

This is bunny and friends. He is fed up waiting for everyone to help him out, and decided to help himself instead!
"AMD HD 4870 1GB (DX 10, 10.1, 11)"
Since when did a 4870 support DX11? Thought AMD cards didn't get that until the 5 series if my memory serves me.
65GB seems a lot but I guess there's gonna be a serious amount of very hi res textures being such a huge game. Is that with 4K textures out of the box? (not that I'll be using them... yet) Gonna have to clear some space on the SSD. I think it's a good sign that the hardware requirements aren't actually all that high and a few years old, hopefully meaning the optimisation is a lot better this time round. The only game I've ever been excited for (and bought) three times over!

I'm calling BS on those requirements. The recommended requirements will be a medium-high'ish settings kinda thing. The minimum requirements - no way dude.... Unless they think Pc gamers are happy with absolutely shocking framerates. They seem to think the console gamers are cool with that.. I used to have a Phenom 9850. That was a first gen consumer quad core from Amd. The Intel dual cores performed a lot better than that thing, even at later dates when games were setup to use all 4 cores properly.. And a 9800GT/4870, really!!?? You can be sure to enjoy a tasty 10fps at most with that setup...
I really hope I eat my words here guys. But, optimization on Pc from Rockstar is not something I ever recall seeing.. That said - I'm still very excited for the Pc version I will be getting it later in the year once I have another machine up and running.
Quite annoyed at the delay, they could have at least announced this sooner than 2 weeks to go! Worst still is that they already delayed it late last year so why cant they even stick to their own revised timelines, dont state a fixed release date if you cant meet it especially if its so touch and go that you wait till the last minute to decide you cant meet it and add on 2 months on! The fact its taken SO LONG to appear on PC is the kicker! It looks promising and I preordered it last week to get it for january, I hope its a good port because the GTA4 was absolutely abysmal.
The worst thing is that they have delayed this but are keeping to the schedule of enabling online heists for consoles which to me sounds like they simply wanted that done as a priority and diverted resources to it and just delayed the PC version as a result.
Fingers crossed... at least dying light is still set for this month and has oculus rift support!
A minimum spec is just that: the bare minimum that the software will run on. But not necessarily play all that well (without a LOT of scaling down). But it'll work.
On the point of gamers being happy with shocking framerates (forgetting the PS4/XBone as they are relatively new) the thing you have to remember is that games are being developed for hardware that is almost 10 years old. They are trying to put next gen games on game consoles with the equivalent of a GeForce 7800 in there with a tiny amount of RAM. To get what they do out of those consoles is pretty impressive.
