I have to say I approve of this, hot wire looks like it may be a fun game mode, although the lack of inclusion of whatever the steal the money from the safe mode was seems odd (unless it's been canned based on feedback)
might have a go with this and see if its worth a punt though I dont think its going to be to my taste in shooters.
Just don't forget, these "open betas" which basically are demos are there more to get higher sales not as much to test anything. So they sprinkle the little content they have with so much glitter that just leaves you thinking whole game will be even better, but usually it is not...
Testing can be done internally and this company seems have realized they can not only save on testing but actually get more money while also others do testing for them.. BRILLIANT!
That being said, go and shoot someone while you can just dont for the love of gaming preorder anything without seeing final product.
I am never spending another Penny with EA ever again, I been a player of both BF3 and BF4 and with the way that EA are doing nothing to deal with the hackers and the way that EA are under some misconception they can just let their customers play beta software for nearly 2 years and then they can not even get that Right - errr No thanks fingers burnt twice lets not forget this is a company that charged £60 for online content then 4 months later gave it away to all their players so what the devil did we all pay our £60 for, No thanks, its like having cowboy builders turn up at your front door offer to fix the roof then spend the next two years repairing the roof they were supposed to repair in the first place then want to charge you extra to fix what they were supposed to fix in the firsat place, what sort of idiots do EA and Dice think people are, twice taken the piss out of and never again, EA could give this game away free and I still would not play it.
I preordered the game in september,i would like to see the beta also.
Gimme.
Can someone explain to me why this is "Battlefield" Hardline, not "Need for Speed" Hardline? Just seems pretty incongruous to slap the "Battlefield" tag on a game that seems to have no military involvement/theme at all.
Which bunch of fools came up with this idea ?
Btw, DICE need to concentrate on Mirror's Edge and Viscercal games needs to concentrate on Deadspace 1.2
been playin' BF since 1942 - found nothing majorly wrong with BF3 or BF4 - after countless hours I don't think I've had a single bad experience with hackers - sure the games netcode was a bit messed up in BF4 giving one the impression they might have been killed by a hacker, but it was just bad netcode imo
I doubt they gave all the DLC away for free 4 months after retail release - I didn't buy the game until almost 6 months after retail release (strange for me as I've had all other installments at release) and there was no free DLC or season pass available via EA, Origin or elsewhere - maybe they gave the DLC away for free 4 months after your purchase of the game? genuine question - I wasn't aware they gave the DLC away for free - but it doesn't bother me - if I've purchased DLC on a given date it's cos I wanted to play it at that time - not some unknown later dated where they might or might not given it away for free.
For every 1 person who rants at EA like above (I am in no way saying the rant is wrong, it's that posters genuine feelings, and he/she is not on their own) there are probably 99 others enjoying the game
it's the same with R* and GTA V (on any platform) - loads of folk spewing bile but still tons more are playing the game and enjoying it
I was in a game the other day where someone went 50 odd to 0 with a desert Eagle. I was level 5 or 6 at the time I think, so even quite early on I had encounters with modders. Not as common as call of duty on console though.

Add me
I am fairly particular about the games I like to play, and these betas are a reasonable way to get an idea if I might like it or not.
