One of the best ever games in my opinion. Loved it, and still occasionally fire up CorsixTH.
Agreed. Never fails to bring me hours of joy every time I occasionally fire it up.
Must. Not. Spend. All. Night. Playing.
Figure it's worth linking CorsixTH

Really nice effort.

Yep another nod to Corsix TH here for both me and my other half.
Ironically Theme Hospital, was what I was hoping that the app store revolution would be back to gaming.
We don't need AAA+ titles with amazing graphics, that suffer if every scene is graphiced to amazing standards. A good simple game play that's fun is what matters. Now-adays, these kind of things can easily be programmed in any language. Hell I dare say you could write Theme Hospital in JavaScript without it being too slow. This means it's cheaper to make such games.
But sadly the freemium industry has killed so much of the bottom end market

CorsixTH is kind of a remake!
My point is, I was hoping we'd see more of those games from the 90s, the kind that cost a lot less to develop, so would take more chances. Instead people expect indie titles to behave like AAA ones, and worse yet, fund software on Kickstarter whilst having no idea of software development.

I agree. The most fun I've had with mobile gaming on phone/tablet has been old remakes/official ports (Broken Sword 1 & 2 are great!), Unofficial ports (CorixTH) or Emulators (Snes / SCUM). The telltale games work well and Xcom / Frozen Synapse / KotoR are good on Android but that's due to the style of game suiting the touch input and not twitch nature of mobile gaming.
Then there is Hitman Go which was incredible. They looked at the hitman series, took the essence of it and then applied it to a mobile friendly puzzle game instead of porting a terrible onscreen control pos.

I got it a month ago, but have not yet played. Tomorrow, I'll have time to play.
