Well at least I can sleep at night knowing they've never had a penny out of me and never will lol.
$18b PROFIT and they can't pay their manufacturing staff fairly and/or bring their hideous prices down.
I really hope their business model collapses soon, utterly sickening that so many flock to them and fork over all that money for a cut-down product.

Is their supply chain any worse than HTC/Samsung/ every other manufacturer?
It's like paying £300 for a pair of designer jeans, they're all made in the same sweatshop so don't complain about the company that charges the most and give the others a free ride.
Mental profits again, but people are buying their kit so they're not going to change anything are they?!
Wish I'd got some Apple shares!

Profit seems appropriate for the prices they charged and the buzz they generate, not that I'm interested in them.
I did however have to check that it was a chart in the article and not a picture of the side profile of their largest phone...
I have no problem with how Apple make their profit or their mark up. Obviously making the profit isn't a problem for them - so why don't they pay their taxes (Apple pay at most 1% tax for all sales in UK for example) - this isn't just unique to Apple, there are many other large firms doing the same dirty deed.
Companies benefit from the infrastructure of UK that is built with taxpayer money so they should pay their share too.
Change of topic - I've got a OnePlus One 64GB. I could buy two or three of them for the price of a iPhone 6+ and people wonder how OnePlus does it so cheaply. I usually point at articles like this and say that OnePlus isn't made cheaply. Just the same as iPhone's but without the huge markup that's just pure profit. They make good stuff, but I won't pay their prices.
Mr. Cook should have also said , we would also like to thank Samsung for donating £xbn
Staggering to think that they can actually produce 34,000 units each and every hour of every day. That they do it AND keep a premium brand image going is amazing.
Do you think when Jesus comes back..... he ever wants to see another cross.......? *{God bless you Bill}

Easy to make money when you have a slave work force.
Like others, they've never had a penny of me - although I will admit the large iphone 6 does look nice....
Only if you can ignore their hypocrisy about how their supply chain people are somehow treated better than those from other companies when, time and again, companies like Foxconn were getting busted for darned near slave level employment practices (Foxconn being the major supplier for Apple internals).
Here is some further reading, if you're so inclined.
smells like another Apple Victory
