Almost tempting. Just wish it wasn't fireOS. I understand amazon want their own ecosystem but they could have done that with Android if they'd been clever (custom launcher, prominent icons for their app store etc). Still might be worth the risk however as I don't have much investment in the play store - I've got far more in the humble bundle app and amazon store actually (free app of the day!).
still not interested... I'd rather spend £100 on a nokia/ms lumia.

Seems possible to shoehorn the playstore on (much like I did with my brothers tablet).

After reading some reviews, I can say hand on heart that I'm not interested in this handset, however I am sure that the stupidly low price (for the specifications) will attract a new following.
Apparantly all the apps are for US customers and you can't install UK ones.
Not worth it, you get an OS filled with adware designed to sell you more stuff, lack of applications and you're tied to a company that surely must go out of business soon as they haven't made a profit in 25 years! (According to HMRC)

This is bunny and friends. He is fed up waiting for everyone to help him out, and decided to help himself instead!
First Nadella, now this guy in the pic above, why does everyone want to dress and look like Steve Jobbs?
Wow, it's a real Fire sale!

Was a waste of money, time and effort for Amazon to release a smart phone with such poor specs. Did they expect it to be a success? When big companies think they can come into a market they've never competed in and think their name will sell itself.
There's a level of lock in beyond which I'm not at all interested. Fire Phone seems too hamstrung to be worth getting to me, even for £99.
Good luck with that Amazon. Never knew a turd could cost that much.
I missed it! Would have been a nice phone once it was flashed to stock Android.
