Heck, if they make a 1080p standard 15.6" laptop screen I'll be happy. Replace this crap in my Y50 One can dream...

I still don't understand why it isn't 1080 or higher at the moment, i know it's a higher production cost but it makes a machine so much nicer to use.

Depends of what you class affordable. The 2015 models look like to be under £2k, so consider end of year/line sales to be more down £1300 for 2015, and then the 2016 range will pick up from there.. Has been the trend for 5 years + now.

Re: Samsung plans to invest $3.6 billion in OLED display production

I wish Samsung would take better care of their present customers before announcing plans for more grandiose ideas. They have a lousy track record for updating their tablets and it is sad that their latest TAB S units are still running KIT KAT with no update officially announced.

Samsung, stop faffing around and give us some OLED tv sets! Or at the very least some OLED monitors. And you can keep that curved crap to yourself. Noone wants it. Just because you *can* do something doesn't mean you *need* to do it.

Do you have a link for these 2015 60"+ OLED TVs that are selling for under £2k?
