Well they will have to pull out something utterly spectacular to convince this consumer that an iWatch is a "must have" rather than a "blingy waste of cash". Not convinced that smartwatches are a good idea at the moment, and the Apple shots so far have not impressed at all - prefer a Moto360 or latest LG GWatch..The Apple Watch will be the company's first all-new product since the iPad was introduced in 2010 and we expect to see Apple's efforts in trying to convince consumers that it is a must-have gadget at the presentation.
TBH, if I had spare cash to splash on a smartwatch then the new Pebble Time would get my money. Cheaper than others and that promised 7-day battery life is a big plus point.
Given the comment above, this might come across as a bit strange - but I'd very surprised if Apple don't manage to utterly dominate the smartwatch market. From what I've seen a smartwatch should play exactly into the "typical" iPhoner's area-of-desire, so if they fail to be #1 then Tim Cook should resign and the design team should be fired. Can Apple enter the market and dominate smartwatches in the same way?
I wouldn't trust them to make a watch, they can't even get the time right when the clocks change... adds a level or irony to the whole sping forward thing...
