Looks like theyre trying to put this square into Moto G territory as a Windows alternative, very similar specs but with better MicroSD support and similar price. Not a bad thing though, but windows phone still needs much better app support which is somewhat of a perpetual loop.

Personally I think the price should be a little cheaper... the 640 is literally '2 year old' tech (no better than 2014 moto g except screen size).

Admittedly you get office etc included but it still seems a little high in my opinion.

Rumour suggests the Microsoft flagship phone will come with the release of Windows 10 which seems logical. Probably the 930 replacement (940) and maybe an XL version of that to fill the 1520 slot.

See the big problem with this , is the 1520 will be 2 years old, 2 years without updating their biggest flagship model. I want to replace my Note 2 with the 1520 , but its no longer available new.

These two look smart, but it's a shame about the dropping of the Nokia name, which imho had a good brand image. I might wait until next year myself since I can just upgrade my Lumia 620 to Windows 10 and the A72 coming next year looks interesting.

NOT having such a high res IS a good reason to get this. Much like the Xperia Z3 Compact... 1280*720 = Longer Battery Life by a noticeable chunk!

It does seem they have me for the for the upgrade from my 520, there is a few models which seem worth while.

For us budget mobile phone people windows is the way to go.

Personally the nokia to microsoft naming isn't a problem, its more the lumia which has me hooked.
