It's been on the cards for a while but N have held off....I guess the number of potential purchasers reach a point where they had to address it finally.

Another home console though? New concept (it has to be!)....

Give it a rest and just write your games for the other platforms......can you imagine the money they could make having Mario kart on XB1, PS4, Windows, Linux and Mac?

With the way Japan is its a smart move for them to make mobile games, they love them over there. Don't know if they will ever appear here tho.

Normally I'd welcome a move to Mario-ize Android and iOS tablets, but that "new membership service" idea would worry me - especially if that means a subscription service.

My experience with Dena (formerly known as Mobage) mobile games is lots of bugs and pretty much no customer support. Good luck Nintendo.
