No thanks, been burned too many times by OCZ SSD drives. Too far gone imho.
I recently bought a OCZ arc100 240Gb. I was aware of previous issues however I don't believe its the same company now that Toshiba own them. Been pretty impressed so far and I saved £15 over the equivalent crucial (£65 vs £80).Originally Posted by [jF

I wouldn't worry about "the brand".
I had the original Vector (before they got into bed with Toshy) and they replaced my SSD really quickly without any hassle and I haven't had any issues since. Now they've got decent NAND and financial support from Tosh, it should be a win-win for everyone? On this alone, I would recommend OCZ/Tosh.
I just cannot bring myself to buy anything with OCZ written on it.....
I know Toshiba own them now and I've never owned an OCZ SSD (have owned DDR/DDR2 RAM and a lot of it did die) but the people I know who purchased OCZ drives (against my better judgement!) all regretted it.
I would just end up kicking myself if I bought one and it caused me issues.....and to top it off the figures all look the same as all the other drives available and the prices are roughly equal as well. Very little incentive to go out on a limb.

Add me to the list of people who will no longer have anything to do with OCZ. I put one of their SSDs in a new build for my dad, and it died when he put the computer to sleep. It may be more Sandforce's fault than OCZs, but I'd have hoped they'd put some kind of warning in the box regarding this issue.

So they'll never make a faster one ?
i've owned loads of ocz drives over the years and never had an issue with them. the new ones are toshiba drives basically anyway.
