Re: Halo 5: Guardians launches on 27th October as Xbox exclusive

Years ago I was disappointed that halo stopped being made available for PC's.
    It was a good game.
If I go and spend money putting together a good PC gaming system, why should I have to then fork out more to buy a less capable console?
Plus, after a pile of bones in my right hand got fused (mouse is comfortable but console controls are impossible to use) I do not find playing on any console machine anywhere near as easy and as enjoyable as playing on a PC. Not for one minute am I picking on console players (to each his own), I am picking on the companies and their restrictive policies.
And I find it ridiculous that, of all companies microsoft, should be so stupid as to restrict it's sales in this way.

Well, whether it's stupid or not depends on sales, I guess.

MS want to sell consoles. To do that, they have to have high-end games that will motivate people to buy the console so as to get the exclusive games.

So, whether it's stupid depends, from their viewpoint, on how much PC-gamer revenue they lose, compared to how many console and console-game sales result, and that's long-term, not just over one game.

Personally, I'm in a similar position to you, except that not only can I not get it for PC, but apparently I can't get it for my Xbox 360 either. MS apparently expect 360 owners to buy another console.

And yes, before anyone says it, I know that sooner or later, old consoles have to be replaced because technology and performance has moved on a lot, enabling better graphics, performance, etc. It's no less annoying, though.
