I currently run a 7770 Vapour X powering a 2560 x 1440 monitor. I do not game but when a video is rendered at full resolution it is momentarily blocky.
My main need is quietness and as low power as possible (i have a Seasonic fanless 520W) and the two EVGA cards are certainly quiet and use a lot less power than any of the AMD cards.
Bearing in mind i do not game which card should i go for out of the mentioned ones particularly as i may go up to a 4K monitor.
I'd go for the 3975 (Super Superclocked) out of EVGA's current range.
I have one of these. Wanted a card already overclocked at factory so I don't have to bother myself with it. Runs fantastic. Bought the backplate for it.
Alien Isolation and Tomb Raider stay at constant 60FPS (using adaptive vsync and triple buffering) with settings maxed out. Will invest in a better 144hz G-Sync monitor when the prices come down.
The card is very quiet and nice and cool. Impressive upgrade over my MSI GTX 760 Gaming Edition.
EVGA are backing themselves into a corner with their naming convention. I shall wait for the super super superclocked card before making a buying decision.

Would I be right in thinking that if you use hdmi 2.0 it only displays upto 60fps anyway?
Evga's cards have been pish poor for the 970. It has poorly positioned power connectors, boring/unimaginative designs and the coolers they had where very badly seated and didn't make contact with all its heatpipes. On top of that an overclock of 1,472MHz is not great, my MSi card is happily chugging along at nearly 1600mhz (which is not uncommon). In my opinion EVGA cards have very little going for them.
