Somewhere out there in a parallel universe far,far away...episodes I II & III never got made and an entire generation never had their childhood memories trashed.

Do these digital versions have options to view the films whereby Han shot first, Jar Jar Binks is digitally removed and Darth Vader never says Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

TBH I should get *paid* to stream these...

Also, I might be wrong, but I believe movies have been distributed "digitally" at the very least since they came out on DVD.

I think even one of the VHS re-releases (SE?) was "digitally remastered"

My statement was meant more generally, but you're right. I've still got those versions ...but no VCR to play them on.

Re: Star Wars Digital Movie Collection launches globally on Friday

They have been available for free from unscrupulous sources digitally for a long time, lol!
Also with Han shooting first, I bet the same can't be said for this version.

Arrrgh how many time can you re-release a film. Still this new version has the cut out alternate ending when Chewie was Luke's father

Struggling to understand why anyone would buy this over the blu-Ray release which would be higher fidelity. Anyone buying this before the release of the last 3 and inevitable 'definitive remastered ultimate 3d edition' needs their head examining!
