No. Don't do it. You normally mock these people who pre-order games to get stupid little gifts.
Step away from the computer Jowsey.
This isn't for you.
...I'm struggling guys. That looks awesome!
Steam - ReapedYou - Feel free to add me!!
I like the sound of the free/promo Fallout Shelter game too.. but I don't have anything it'll run on
I'm constantly amazed at how they arrive at those prices in € and £.
The usual stupid question arises - why is buying a 'hard copy' of the game so much cheaper than the digital version (e.g. Amazon.co.uk currently lists the PC download version at 49.99 and the standard edition disc version as £37.50?). If it weren't for the fact it's cheaper to buy discs, I'd be getting all my games (excluding collectors version-type things) as downloads by now.
Frustrating isn't it? But it's probably because Amazon can get a cheaper unit price for hard copies than it can for digital, due to licensing arrangements.
Typical situation is where you have a massive brand/consortium of retail shops offering to stock/promote your game in return for minimum pricing guarantees on digital to offset their increased costs.
firstly, Fallout 4, ohgodohgodohgod! That crafting system looks intense! As for the iOS game, downloading it when I get home (200MB I think)
Secondly, the Pip-boy looks a bit pants quality-wise doesn't it?
Just release Fallout Shelter on the PC while we wait for Fallout 4.
I'm torn....
I come from an FPS background really but love the idea of exploring new ideas and taking some time to relax and wander around a bit. I loved Fallout New Vegas.
However, I struggle to get over the skill levelling side of things in these games. Basically, in an FPS if you look down a scope at something and fire then it'll hit the spot your aiming at. When playing New Vegas I could look down the scope of a gun and the bullet went sideways...
They get you to level up in the games because your skills are 'too low' however I guarantee I was aiming at an exact point that would have been a hit, it's just the game sent it the wrong way because it felt like it...
I hope that being an RPG but from a first person perspective that they'll allow some leeway for those of us that can really shoot and not just cripple the real persons skills because some grahpical representation of a person is a bit of a tool. I'm controlling him so that means he has my skills... a gun will only fire in the direction its pointing.
I thought Fallout 3 and NV both had hitscan so it did go exactly where you pointed it? Yes, damage/AP was affected by skills, but the aiming wasn't.
Another game to look forward to!
Fallout Shelter game is a bit like the base building part of X-Com: EU.
