BTW, the Open Type font manager code is/was a collaboration between Adobe and Microsoft, so Microsoft is equally to blame here. Also, this is code that was (or should have been) audited as part of Microsoft's "Trustworthy Computing" initiative. Amazing, that it took almost two decades to root out this flaw.
