Once I grow tired of my note 4 it looks like im going for sony phones. No micro sd slot is a deal breaker.

Couldn't agree more - I might do the same unless Samsung do a U turn - My Note 4 is 32GB with a 128GB micro SD - 150GB in a phone - already at 100GB! The Note 4 is amazing - it's a shame Samsung are following Apple and becoming more restrictive

Do you even use 100GB on your phone? Just out of curiosity.

Edit: just noticed you mentioned you have. What do you even use 100GB for? Music?

I personally have 32+64 sd card but want to upgrade to a bigger one, as I'm running out of space with just my music collection.

Be careful, the build quality of Sony phones has dropped. I had a Z3 Compact that was returned twice in as many months due to the same fault and it seems that others have had the same problems. The returns process was hassle free, but I need a phone that is reliable that the Z3 Compact build quality is lower than the Z1 Compact. Not sure about other phones but do your research carefully.

Personally I've just gone to Samsung, using an Xcover 3, still on the look out for a unbranded S5 Active.

Awful let down the Note 5 for me
    Smaller battery
    non removable battery
    no SD card
IR blaster removed(used to like swapping tv chans to upset the wife)
And the best for last Not due to be released in UK this year
    bye bye Samsung from me

hopefully LG G4 Pro might be worth my money

Still on my note 3 which is excellent, but interested to see the developments. Not liking the lack of changeable battery and SD card slot. But most especially not enjoying Samsung's complete lack of a smaller version of their high end phones for my Mrs. She doesn't have man hands like me (thankfully), and she's still rocking our old Galaxy S2s. She likes Samsung, doesn't like change, but now has no option from them at all. I'm trying to persuade her that the Sony Z5 compact might be worth a look when it comes out - still the Z3 compact looks like a good option. Samsung Minis are just awful...

It will, but not until next year.

After the troubled release of the S6 (the demands of the various models) they probably want to judge the market a bit more for this release.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Note 5 unveiled in New York

S6 is the worst flagship phone I've ever owned, appalling battery life, no sdcard slot and lags all over the place. A truly terrible phone easily eclipsed by my Z3 or G4.

Are these really big phones selling that well? I'd buy one but they do not sit well on a belt nor do they fit in my shirt pocket. I'd loose a big one for sure. SD card is really nice to have but as long as it has 16gb min ( 32 is better) then I am fine with that. I am hoping that Google's Project FI uses one of their new (smaller) phones come October.
