Back in the day it used to happen all the time... the list of games that took years past deadlines or became vapourware is a long one, shame it doesn't guarantee actually achieving quality (i.e Duke Nukem Forever).Originally Posted by Plasmastorm

I think now that nearly every gamer can download gigantic patches within an acceptable time frame the publishers mostly just force it out and let the devs finish it later - commercial pressures etc.
Still happens all the time. Most of my recent games had some kind of delay.
Great news, no more release clash with Fallout 4.
