Because UPlay isn't bad enough already. Note to Ubisoft: If you're going to copy things that Steam does, don't start with the pointless bits nobody likes. A better start would be making it less of a crashfest and stop your overlay (which nobody uses,) interfering with other running programs.

I would rather collect points on my driving licence. Presume this BS feature is required because account based purchases (non-ownership) is not bad enough already.

Sell me a game with a preset date or count down to when DRM will be removed. I like games. I want to buy them.

Either that or I will wait 10 years to play the same and spend a negligable amount of money and enjoy community mate patches / mods.

Seems to be the same, except now you get them for making purchases through the Ubi store as well (or possibly instead, it's not entirely clear).

I logged in today by chance to redeem my free copy of Syndicate from NVIDIA now that positive reviews are beginning to surface. Must admit, it does look very polished! Can't fault them for improving their service but as people have said, the front-end wasn't really what needed polishing.
