Yeah, but... Can it run Crysis?
(1) unfortunately it is LINUX based creating further problems for small companies which are comfortable with windows. (2) there is this other part I dont get, most of these HPC cards target big organizations am sure most of us trust our 'cheaper' cards the likes of TITAN X and FURY X which have awesome Teraflop computing abilities, the Tflops of a Fury x BEAT any core out there and that is no secret thats why Bitcoin miners use them ditching TESLA and the boring Xeon Phi.
Firstly I imagine the set of companies that can afford and want to use a Xeon Phi but have zero Linux experience is pretty small since most HPC work is done on Linux, and anyway there are Windows drivers for the Co-Processor configuration even if it still 'runs' Linux internally.
Also aren't most Bitcoin miners ditching GPUs for ASICs now, otherwise you end up paying more out on electricity than you can mine back in coins...
So when will this intel fish and chips be available?. The big question is, how much will it cost?. No doubt it will follow typical intel rip-off prices.
