And that can only be a good thing, rather a game took longer with more things ironed out than rushed or badly done and is a buggy mess. Looking at you Arkham Knight.
Jon
I have a bad feeling about this latest installment, having said that I am still eagerly awaiting it arrival.
I'm not too disappointed to see this delayed if does indeed translate to a better game at the end of it, no one wants a rushed mess to sully the Deus ex name.
The question here is: Is it only the PC version which is delayed or does this affect all versions?
We've often times seen that the PC version of a game gets pushed while there's apparently no slip in the release schedule for the console versions. Which again begs the question of whether PC versions still are 2nd (or 3rd) class citizens or if there really is time spent on fine-tuning and polishing the PC version, hopefully to be better than the console versions.
To me, that sounds like a good thing. Human Revolution was a bit of a mess on release, and took a little while to get it patched up. For whatever reason they then went and made director's cut on the unpatched version of the game and while I didn't personally run into any issues on my DC playthrough, the steam discusssions were full of complaints about old bugs reappearing.
If it takes them an extra 6 months to make sure the game is cleaned up well, so be it.
Is 'Mankind Divided' a play on 'Manchester United'?
The reason for that is simple: if the game runs well for the devs on one PS4 in their office, it will run well on every PS4 in the world. If the game runs well on one PC in the office, it will most likely fail on most PC's in the world. PC versions aren't late because they are deliberately treated badly, but because they are 100 times more complex to get right.
In this case I assume that all versions will be postponed, but it's possible that part of it is out of courtesy to the problem child (i.e., PC).
I just hope that it will translate to a better game. I don't want to pay 60 euros for a glitchy piece of turd.
Loved the last game they released.
Talk to receptionist at the apartment that you live in..
"For the last time Mr Jensen, I haven't heard about your mirror" (to replace the broken mirror in your room)
When you check her emails, it says the mirror is in storage and going to be destroyed if she doesn't do anything about it.
Best thing to do? Knock her out and stuff her in your secret compartment in your room
So many little things like this in the game, endless fun.
Better a delay than a bugged release any day.
I'd even forgive 2-3 delays if the end product was well polished.
That being said, any reasonable publisher would calculate the time needed and add an extra month or 2 for breathing space. That way only one delay should be needed.
Surely a good thing, if recent buggy releases are anything to go by
Hitman and now Deux Ex, good time management Square enix.
I didn't even know it was coming out. Enjoyed the last Deux Ex, hope this one is as good.

Actually glad this is happening for 2 reasons.
1. Good to see that the game will be released with it being playable and not some rushed game with a big day one patch.
2. I should be finished with Fallout 4 by then.
